Royal Challengers Bangalore Team Roster IPL 2016: The Indian Premier League (IPL) has several teams which have battled their way since eight seasons. The ninth edition of the Indian Premier League is expected to offer much more thrill and excitement. RCB is one of the strongest teams in the IPL. This team is owned by the famous business tycoon Mr. Vijay Mallya. For IPL 2016, the team has retained 9 Indian and 5 foreign players in order to maintain a good level of batting and bowling balance.

Virat Kohli is the much-hyped player in the IPL this season and the management had to pay the extra amount to keep him in the squad. The other Indian players in the team include Mandeep Singh, Varun Aaron, Kedar Jadhav and Harshal Patel. The retained foreign players in Royal Challengers Bangalore include star names such as Mitchell Starc, Ab de Villiers and Chris Gayle.

RCB IPL Budget: They have never won the IPL title in the previous 8 seasons. Though the team entered the final round in 2009 and 2011 but couldn’t utilise this opportunity. This season the management has played it really safe in planning the squad by smartly spending the available budget. RCB has spent Rs 44.375 crore in retaining 14 players from the previous season. They are left with a sum total of Rs 21.625 crore which offers them with an opportunity to add 5-6 players to the squad.

RCB 2016 IPL Auction: The RCB management has successfully grabbed international star players such as Shane Watson and Kane Richardson. The presence of Shane Watson would complete the requirement for a stable all-rounder in the squad. And his pairing with his Aussie team-mate Mitchell Starc would offer a fierce bowling attack for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The other players bought by RCB include Stuart Binny, Travis Head and Samuel Badree.
