India vs Pakistan Match Prediction:

This is the big money fight, the India against Pakistan in Bangladesh, in a format in which the Pakistan team is considered as veterans. They have had their battles in T20 internationals in the past and the biggest of them was in the ICC World T20 2007, where India first defeated Pakistan in their group encounter and then defeated them again in the finals of the tournament to become the first ever winners of World T20. Pakistan themselves won the World T20 title in the next edition in 2009 and since then have been one of the most prolific T20 international teams.

But again, Pakistan has that burden of being unpredictable and that has been a problem for their form.  India, on the other hand, enjoy a great run of form in T20Is and barring a blip at Pune against Sri Lanka, they have won all their matches in dominating fashion and Pakistan will be able to give them a good fight since almost all of their players will be coming off playing in the Pakistan Super League. Their main weapons during the Asia cup will be Captain Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz and the newly returning Mohammad Amir. Their batting is strongly poised with Hafeez, Malik, Umar Akmal and Babar Azam at the top.

Indians, on the other hand, will definitely look to continue their winning run against Pakistan in recent times. Virat Kohli will return to the side to take back his number 3 position and his form are just stupendous. Mohammad Shami could also make his return back into the international cricket after his last appearance coming in ICC World Cup 2015.

Dhoni will get a lot of time to sit with Kohli and the team management to get multiple playing XIs chalked out before the World Cup begins. He will also like to give Negi and Harbhajan a chance and some rest to Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin, in order to test the bench once. Indian batting and spin bowling for once will be ably supported by their quick pacers in veteran Ashish Nehra who is having a dream run after being called back into the side after 4 years and the young Jasprit Bumrah, who has impressed one and all with his pace and ability to bowl toe crushing yorkers at will.

Match Prediction: The match will be a tough one, but on the basis of form and previous results, India can prevail over their arch rivals in what will be a very close encounter.

Toss Prediction: India will win the toss and bat first.
